Article Summary:

As expected, Andre Drummond’s time with the Cleveland Cavaliers is at an end.

The team announced in a press release on Friday that it and Drummond had agreed to a buyout of his contract. “We have great respect for Andre as a person and a player here in Cleveland and we are happy to have reached an outcome that is in the best interest of both Andre and our team. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.”

Drummond was acquired by the Cavs from the Pistons in a deal at the last trade deadline and ended up playing 33 games for Cleveland, averaging 21.8 points and 16.8 rebounds per game while with the team. He’s expected to receive interest from a slew of teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics.
